If your customers read reviews before they call, this is for you.

Every business on this page has the same underlying problem: good work, happy customers, and not enough of either showing up where the next customer looks. The fix is the same too. What changes from one business to another is where the reviews live, when the right moment to ask is, and what gets in the way. These are the businesses I work with most.

Who I work with

The businesses I know best.

Trades and installers

Electricians, window and door fitters, builders, EV charger and solar installers. The best moment to ask is when the job's signed off and the customer's standing in front of it. Google matters most, then Checkatrade and MyBuilder.

Home and garden services

Cleaners, gardeners, dog walkers, decorators. Lots of regular customers, and most of your new work comes from someone asking a neighbour or a local Facebook group. Reviews are what they check straight after.

Health, wellbeing and beauty

Physios, dentists, chiropractors, salons, clinics. People choose carefully and read closely. The ask belongs after the result they came for, not at the end of the first appointment.

Property and construction professionals

Estate agents, architects, surveyors. Few clients, big decisions, and every review carries a lot of weight. What they say about how you handled it matters as much as the outcome.

Financial and legal

Accountants, solicitors, mortgage brokers, IFAs. Trust is the entire purchase. Everything here is built never to filter, incentivise or write a review — which is also what makes it straightforward to sign off.

Coaches, consultants and agencies

Business coaches, marketing agencies, fractional directors. Your reputation is the product. If you advise other businesses, there's also a partner route rather than a client one.

Franchises and multi-site brands.

A different problem, not a bigger one. No single number for the brand, no view of which branches are carrying the others, and the best location quietly propping up the worst in every average a customer sees.

Not on the list

If customers check reviews before they call you, it fits.

Tell me what you do and I'll tell you honestly whether it's worth it — and if it isn't, I'll say so.

Working with other businesses

If you advise or market for small businesses, there's a partner route.

Referral, resale or white label — whichever fits how you already work.

Be the obvious choice.

Forty-five minutes, no pitch deck. I'll look at your profile before we speak and tell you what I'd do first — whether or not you work with me.
